Catherine has been writing and performing poetry for about 4 years, more so since moving to Malvern 3 years ago. Runner up in the Malvern Slam in 2010, she has honed her craft in a variety of slams in the area. In 2011 and 2012 she was shortlisted for the Worcestershire Bard. This year Catherine appeared at the Stratford Literature and the Cheltenham Poetry Festival.

Catherine welcomes all opportunities to perform and is currently working on her first collection of illustrated performance poems. Catherine recently organised her first poetical comedy night Fancy a Double ?? in Malvern and hopes to now continue the ‘Fancy a ??’ series in 2013.

She shares some of her musings and bizarre thoughts via her blog, which can be found at catherinecrosswell.wordpress.com

Her second blog is slightly obsessional; here she creates poems and tiny tales out of all of her children's spellings that are sent home from school, following a strict self inflicted formula. Find out more at
ccrosswell.blogspot.co.uk

You won’t often find the performance poems she performs online, most are safely tucked in her head but occasionally one or two break free (see below for a peek in the book)
